GD Goenka Public School Jammu Celebrates Pre-Primary Sports Day with Great Enthusiasm
JAMMU, Nov 20: G D Goenka Public School, Jammu, celebrated its Pre-Primary Sports Day with remarkable enthusiasm and spirited participation from its young Goenkans. The event blended fun, fitness, teamwork and joyful learning, reflecting the school’s commitment to holistic development.
Tamana Seth, State Taxes Officer (STO) was the chief guest on the event. She was received by Principal Arindam Roy Choudhary, along with Pre-Primary Coordinator Navpreet Kaur, Primary Coordinator Nishita, Middle Wing Coordinator Deepali and Senior Wing Coordinator Varsha Billawaria, who collectively oversaw the smooth conduct of the programme.
The celebration commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, principal and coordinators, symbolising the beginning of an auspicious occasion. A graceful Ganesh Vandana, presented by students of the Primary Wing, set a serene and devotional tone for the day.
The field soon buzzed with excitement as Nursery, LKG and UKG students presented a variety of drills and races. Young Goenkans impressed the audience with their coordination and confidence as they performed colourful drills and rhythmic formations. The races—featuring hopping, balancing, object collection, themed activities and balloon bursting—brought immense joy and showcased the children’s enthusiasm and sportsman spirit.
Engaging drills like Pom-Pom, Scarf Drill, Parachute Drill and Animal Yoga further captured the creativity and agility of the little participants. Adding to the lively atmosphere, parents took part in friendly races, filling the grounds with cheers and laughter. The event concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where medals and certificates were awarded to young achievers.
