Teacher Training Programme at GD Goenka University, Sohna – June 2026
Empowering teachers through continuous professional development is central to the GD Goenka culture. In line with this commitment, a three-day Teachers’ Training Programme was organized at GD Goenka University, Sohna, from 24 to 26 June 2026.
Conducted simultaneously in two spacious auditoriums at the GD Goenka University Campus, the programme offered dedicated learning tracks for Foundation and Senior class teachers. Curated to align with the GD Goenka vision, CBSE training mandates, and modern educational trends, the sessions gave teachers a practical space to reflect on classroom practices and refine key professional competencies.
The sessions for the foundation years’ teachers focused on Universal Design for Learning, EVS as a Life Skill, Formative Assessment Techniques, Oral Language Development, and Competency-Based Pedagogy. The program for the senior teachers covered THRIVE Values, Competency-Based Pedagogy, Multidisciplinary Teaching, Critical Thinking, the Power of Questioning, and Transformational Assignments for shaping skills and values.
The sessions were conducted by experienced resource persons with expertise in pedagogy and classroom practices. The programme provided teachers with opportunities to engage with the themes, reflect on their existing practices and consider their application in the classroom.
The programme brought together 250 teachers from GD Goenka Schools across the country. As a residential programme with full boarding and lodging provided for all participants, it also offered teachers extended opportunities for interaction, professional exchange and collaboration with peers from other schools across the GD Goenka network. Participants valued the hands-on learning and the dedicated time for reflection and professional engagement.
This initiative forms part of the GD Goenka Group’s continuing efforts to support teacher development and strengthen professional learning across its schools.
