On July 31, Counsellor of the Russian Embassy in India Petr Sizov, took part in the inauguration ceremony of the Russia–India Friendship Wall at GD Goenka Public School in Ghaziabad.

The initiative of the project was presented by Chairperson of the Indian Association of Russian Compatriots Elena Barman. On the occasion, photographs of the monuments to the Russian writers Alexander Pushkin and Leo Tolstoy in Delhi were presented to the School Principal Ms Yogita Kapil.

A dance competition featuring students from sixteen schools was held, marking the event. Young performers also received gifts from the Russian diplomatic mission.

During meetings with the School's administration, among which were Principal Ms Yogita Kapil, Associate Director Mr Avi Goel and International Program Head Ms Ramni Aggarwal the prospects for bilateral cooperation, including the organization of joint cultural and educational events, as well as Russian Language and Literature Days were discussed.
