This year has been a transitional one for Myra, as she moved from the CBSE curriculum to IB. Right from the initial discussions, Deepti Ma’am guided us with clarity and care, helping us understand the differences between CBSE and IB, and how GDS would support Myra through the transition. That conversation gave me the confidence I needed as a parent to make the switch.

The school thoughtfully assigned a buddy to Myra in her first week, which really helped her settle into the new environment. We were also clearly shown how the IB approach at GDS would nurture not only academic growth but also her overall development—and that reassurance has truly proved accurate.

Some key highlights that stood out for us:

  • The culture of encouraging every child to participate in events and activities fosters confidence. I truly believe participation removes fear and makes children feel prepared and included.
  • Every student is given the opportunity to be involved, reflecting GDS’s core belief that All Belong.
  • Parents are regularly invited to school events, which builds a strong sense of community and inclusion.
  • Teachers bring a personal, heartfelt touch—I was pleasantly surprised when Myra’s class teacher shared a video of her participating in class presentations and the talent show. It meant a lot to us.
  • The Principal Ma’am’s genuine involvement in every aspect of school life is heartwarming. Her interactions with students and parents don’t feel like a formality—she truly enjoys being part of their journeys, and that makes all the difference.

We are the parents of Vivaan Chopra (Grade 7A) and Maahir Chopra (Grade 2A) of GDGWS. We wanted to share how remarkable our journey has been in this amazing school.

We joined GDGWS in 2021, choosing it because we knew it was one of the oldest schools in Gurgaon and probably the first to introduce the IB programme here. With such a strong legacy in education since 2003, we were confident that the school had lived up to its name — and it truly has.

The staff in PYP has been excellent. They cared for our children as their own and made them feel at home in no time. The teachers always listen to us and ensure that our requests are handled with care. They constantly motivate the children and encourage them to do their best.

Years later, when we enrolled our second son, he too settled in quickly — thanks to the loving and supportive teachers. Our children are exposed to a wide range of activities, sports, and celebrations, while also being encouraged to take on responsibilities every day. This has helped them grow into confident and empathetic individuals.

Moving forward to CLS has been another step towards new adventures and advanced learning. With the support of the entire CLS staff, the transition has been smooth and reassuring.

We look forward to continued support and guidance, so that our children grow into responsible, confident individuals who can succeed in the real world ahead.

"I am truly grateful for the supportive environment at GD Goenka World School. The regular updates, parent–teacher interactions, and focus on values make me feel involved in Mahda’s education.

Since joining, Mahda has not only improved academically but has also become more confident and independent. The school encourages holistic development, and she has grown into a responsible and thoughtful young lady, thanks to the school’s guidance and values."
