Being on 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' , giving 12 right answers out of 16 questions and winning Rs. 12,50,000 was a big achievement. From all over India, only 10 children were selected. Every question felt like a challenge, but I approached each one with confidence, thanks to the solid Goenkan foundation I had.

Goenka has given me countless opportunities to explore my potential as we just don’t learn here -we thrive .for life. Being the current Head girl of the school along with being the Co- founder of the NGO : The Prosperity Project I aim to Promote Financial Literacy amongst the Underprivileged sections of society organizing “Jan Chetna Shivir” and helping people from the slums in making Aayushman card and Aadhar card .

Alongside my academic journey, I have been actively engaged in mental health advocacy and research. I founded ManoVichaar, an initiative dedicated to creating awareness about mental well-being and resilience among students and young professionals. I have also undertaken internships with the Mental Health Foundation India, Fortis Healthcare, and institutions in Hyderabad, gaining valuable insights into psychology and public health. The school provided me with opportunities that encouraged me to think beyond classrooms and discover my true passions.

Being at GD GOENKA PUBLIC SCHOOL has shaped me through learning and personal development. My past two years at the school have been a journey of growth and learning. I felt incredibly honoured to hold the position of the first Head Boy in the school in the 7th grade; a position that increased my confidence and taught me the importance of leadership and responsibility at a very young age. I am also proud to still be a member of the student council and to continue representing my fellow students.

I will never forget the contribution of our Principal sir Mr Anant Vijay Dutt Thapliyal in helping my overall development. I also still remember something our Taekwondo teacher Mr. Ashit sir once said, “Be like a pyramid so the higher you go, the fewer people you’ll find around you.” That line taught me that as you grow, not everyone will stay with you, but you should keep moving forward anyway.

Throughout my time here, I have found significant personal growth in me. My public speaking skills have greatly improved. The introduction of the Word of the Day activity is something where we learn a new word regularly and has greatly helped me to expand my vocabulary. These efforts along with academic and extracurricular involvement continue to be recognized, for which I was also honoured with the Student of the Year award.

I am Agriya Lal, a student of Class 8. This is my second year at GD Goenka Public School, Dehradun, and I can proudly say that these two years have been the most valuable part of my learning journey.

When I joined this school, I immediately realized how different and special it is. The opportunities I got here helped me discover my strengths and also improve on my weaknesses. I was always encouraged by my teachers to step forward, participate, and give my best. This gave me the confidence to perform both individually and in groups, and it has shaped my personality in a big way.

Last year, I was given the responsibility of CCA Captain, which not only developed my leadership skills but also taught me how to handle challenges and healthy competition. Along with academics, the school also gave me a chance to explore sports. After trying many, I finally chose shooting. With the guidance of my teachers, excellent facilities, and constant support from our respected Principal Sir, I secured 10th rank at the state level in my very first year. Now, I feel proud to represent the school at the North Zone level.

For me, GD Goenka is not just a school, it is a place that prepares us for life. The environment here, the dedicated teachers, and the vision of our Principal Sir have made a huge difference in my journey. I genuinely feel that admitting my sister and me here was the best decision my parents made.

I am thankful to be a part of this esteemed institution, and I am confident that with the school’s guidance and support, we will keep growing, learning, and striving toward success.

Hello, I am Stutii Mridual Pandey, a student of Class V. Till last year, I was studying in New York, and when I shifted to India, I was a little nervous about joining a new school and adjusting to a different environment.

My biggest worry was that I didn’t know Hindi at all. I thought it would be very difficult for me to learn and understand the subject. But after joining GD Goenka in May, my teachers made me feel so comfortable and gave me the confidence to try.

Very soon, I started writing phrases in Hindi and even answering questions. This made me feel really proud of myself! Not only in academics, but I also enjoy taking part in activities and interacting with my classmates. I feel happy, confident, and excited to come to school every day. For me, GD Goenka is not just a school, but a place where I am growing, learning, and discovering new things about myself. What I thought would be difficult has now become my strength, and I am thankful to my teachers and school for helping me shine.

My name is Sannidhi Malhotra, and I have been a student at GD Goenka Public School, Dehradun for the past three years. I can confidently say that these have been the best and most memorable years, filled with some of the most enriching experiences of my school life.

This school has given me wonderful opportunities—whether it was representing my classmates, voicing their opinions, or working towards making our school a better place. One of the things I cherish most are my friends. They make every day brighter with their laughter, support, and even a bit of teasing. Whether we are working together on projects or simply sharing stories over breakfast and lunch, they have always stood by me. For me, friends here are not just classmates, but a family within the school.

When I first joined GD Goenka, I was very nervous because it was a new environment. But the warmth and kindness of my teachers and fellow students made me feel at home almost instantly. Now, this school feels like my second home. The bond that all members of our school—teachers and students alike—share is truly like that of one big family.

Over the years, GD Goenka has given me a lot of confidence, both on stage and on the field. My teachers have guided me not only academically but also in becoming more confident, disciplined, and responsible. I had the honor of serving as the Head Girl for two years, which taught me true leadership and gave me a strong sense of responsibility. Currently, I am proud to be the House Captain.

Being a part of GD Goenka has been one of the most rewarding journeys of my life. I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and make many more memories here with the support of my teachers and the best of friends.

My Experience at GD GOENKA DEHRADUN

Being a part of GD GOENKA DEHRADUN has been a truly enriching experience for me. The school is not just a place for academics, but a space that nurtures overall growth through involvement in academics, co-curricular activities, and personal development.

One of the things I really appreciate about GD Goenka is the student involvement in every sphere of school life. From debates, dramatics, art and sports, leadership roles, and cultural programs, students get opportunities to explore their interests and showcase their talents.
